Position Summary
The IT Manager will oversee Freedom Industries’ internal technology operations, ensuring that systems, devices, and applications are reliable, secure, and aligned with business needs. This role bridges the gap between our third-party IT provider and internal users, while managing software subscriptions, SharePoint/drive organization, AI policy, and end-user technology needs across the company.

Key Responsibilities
IT Operations and Support
-
Serve as the primary internal IT leader while coordinating with the third-party IT firm that manages servers, remote desktop, and Microsoft accounts.

Oversee device setups and routine support
-
Provide escalation support for hardware/software issues not covered by the external IT firm
Systems, Software and AI Management
-
Manage and maintain all company software subscriptions:

Monitor license usage, renewals, and cost optimization.

Lead new software implementations from evaluation through rollout and adoption.

Own and enforce company AI policy, ensuring responsible use of AI tools.

Explore and recommend AI applications that increase productivity, efficiency, and insights.
SharePoint and File Management

Oversee folder mapping, network drive management, and permissions
-
Keep SharePoint sites updated, refreshed, and aligned with company standards.

Implement best practices for digital file organization and accessibility.
Process and Reporting
-
Assist with creation of forms, customized reports, and templates within software platforms.

Standardize report storage, ensuring key data is readily available to teams.

Document IT processes and provide training where needed.
Governance & Security
-
Enforce IT policies and standards, in collaboration with the external IT partner.

Ensure compliance with company data security requirements.

Support business continuity through system backups and proper access controls.
Qualifications
Required
-
5+ years of IT management or systems administration experience.
-
Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, SharePoint, and network drive management.
-
Hands-on experience with software subscription administration and user license mgmt.
-
Experience implementing new software platforms or major upgrades.
-
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Preferred
-
Familiarity with construction applications (Bluebeam, AutoCAD, Trimble, Spectrum ERP)

Experience working in partnership with managed IT service providers.

Background in AI exploration, tool evaluation, and policy development.

Ability to train, mentor, and oversee junior IT staff.

Experience in report customization and form creation.
