Position Summary:
 

As Payroll Specialist/ Admin HR Support at Freedom Industries, you will be an integral member of the HR team supporting the Freedom Company.

This role will allow you to develop your skills as a payroll specialist and an administrative professional in applying yourself to multiple tasks and responsibilities across various functions, while gaining exposure to business operations and the construction industry in a dynamic, and fast-paced environment.

  • Must have the ability to manage various types of projects.
     

  • Be able to coordinate and supervise manpower on multiple projects.
     

  • Understand how jobs flow from the start to finish.
     

  • Be able to identify and meet a customers' expectations and requirements.
     

  • The ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and changing priorities, as necessary.
     

  • Able to work under time pressure and adapt to daily changing job requirements with a positive attitude.
     

  • Have effective oral and written communication skills.
     

  • Must be proficient with technology including software, Microsoft suite, accounting programs, etc.
     

  • Be a positive leader, self-motivated, proactive, and effective team player.
     

  • Must be able to interact professionally with all levels of employees, management, vendors, subs, peers’ customers, and others.

 

Essential Functions

​

  • Weekly payroll processing
     

  • Time entry and verification of payroll hours
     

  • Process any updates, new hires, and terminations in the payroll system
     

  • Updating PTO hours
     

  • Updating time off calendar
     

  • Responsible for maintaining organized electronic personnel files
     

  • Funding payroll once complete
     

  • Run benefit reports and upload to vendors for processing
     

  • Communication to employees regarding payroll (hours and paystubs)
     

  • Complete requested verification forms
     

  • Reporting labor hours to different departments as needed
     

  • Audit and census support
     

  • Send new hire information to our 3rd party vendor for benefits
     

  • Assist with Company apparel inventory

Experience/Education/Other Requirements:
 

  • High school diploma or GED.
     

  • 1 year of relevant work experience.
     

  • Diploma / Bachelor's degree in business, or similar would be beneficial.
