Position Summary:
As an AR Specialist at Freedom Industries, you will be an integral finance team member responsible to set-up, bill, collect and provide financial support to PMs on all customer contracts and purchase orders. This opportunity will allow you to develop your skills as a finance professional in applying yourself to multiple tasks and responsibilities concurrently, whilst learning about the construction industry in a dynamic, and fast-paced environment.
​Essential Functions

Lead by example in championing Freedom Industries Mission Statement and Core Values in daily duties.

Create and manage project-related financial records including contract and job set-up, billing, and collections, change orders, job profitability analysis and reporting.

Work closely with Project managers and operational team members to ensure accurate project finances and monitor budgets.

Monitor AR aging and review, resolve and collect past due unpaid customer invoices.

Review and reconcile customer accounts, documents, and information to ensure accuracy; identify and quickly resolve discrepancies and errors.

Provide internal / external audit support as required.

Ensure sales and use tax compliance across all areas of responsibility.

Exceptional customer service, strong communication, and the ability to be analytical and multi-task are extremely important.

Experience/Education/Other Requirements:
-
Under-graduate degree in finance or accounting
-
Preferred 1-3 years’ relevant experience in construction accounting
-
Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and Excel
-
Experience / knowledge on finance accounting software
-
Knowledge of NC sales and use tax legislation will be beneficial

Working knowledge of the concepts and accounting principles of work-in-progress and revenue from contracts with customers

Excellent analytical and numerical skills
-
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment whist maintaining accuracy and attention to detail

Experience in financial and bookkeeping processes and practices

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Strong interpersonal skills and able to collaborate well with seasoned team members

Sound planning and organizational skills
