Position Summary

The Electrical Helper assists skilled laborers and craftsmen with various tasks in order to maintain, repair, and install systems, services, and equipment while also learning skills that will encourage professional development and advancement within the company.

Skills and Abilities

Ability to follow written and verbal instruction, ability to perform mathematical calculations, ability to learn to use hand and power tools as needed.

Experience/Education/Other Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED preferred

• Industrial construction experience a plus

• Ability to learn to measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble, and install components using tools and equipment

• Ability to identify colors

• Ensure areas are clean and safe.

Essential Functions Essential functions are the basic job duties that an employee must be able to perform, with or without reasonable accommodation.  The Company considers the functions listed here as essential to performance of the job duties.  

• Frequently (up to 66% of time)

  • May or may not work in harsh environments (hot/cold temperatures, outdoor, etc.)

  • Exposure to fumes, flashing light, sparks, flames

  • Bend/Twist/Repetitive movement/Squat and/or Climb steps/stairs/ladders

  • Lift >50lbs – from floor to above shoulders

  • Using hands to handle, control, feel tools, objects, controls

  • Drive vehicle

  • Standing and walking on both level and uneven surfaces
